Excellent new role open for my client based in the West of Ireland.
As the Systems Development Manager, you will be looking after the management of the Test Infrastructure & Tools team at Product Line HQ and Sites through the:
● Development of toolchains used to train and validate the latest autonomous driving systems
● Optimisation and standardisation of Test Tools, big data infrastructure, AI data & simulation tools
● Deployment & mgnt of toolchains to customers worldwide
● Roll out of Systems development processes across all locations worldwide
Responsibilities
● Management of a global team in the development of systems used in the development and validation of autonomous driving systems both at Valeo and at our customers' sites.
● Develop key simulation tools used to train and validate autonomous systems
● Implement a robust and efficient Test automation strategy
● Develop the necessary data management systems and test benches per project.
● Implement strategies for inter site big data management and transfer using the latest technologies including those available from public cloud suppliers such as AWS and GCP
● Daily management of System Validation operations globally, planning vehicle captures, data processing and annotation teams.
● Facilitate and review the training programs for development engineers in areas such as tool development processes, new standards, new technologies and functional safety.
● Ensure efficient Management and communication and control mechanisms are in place for all staff globally.
● Provide Technical Leadership and decision making to the development team.
● Complete yearly budgets and a detailed technical development plan, track over the course of the year.
● Keep up to date with new Standards and general market information in the Industry
Education/Training
● A Relevant Technical Engineering Degree eg. Electronics Engineering
Professional Experience
● Minimum of 5 years experience working in a System Development Role
● Track record of successful R&D team Management or Project Management role
● Experience in cloud technologies an advantage
● Experience in National Instruments tools(h/w and s/w) a distinct advantage
● Proven ability to deliver technical projects on time and in the right quality
● Experience in the automotive industry (desirable)
