We are partnering with a well-established organisation seeking an experienced Supply Chain Buyer Planner to join their centralised supply chain function. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, commercially minded professional who enjoys owning both procurement and planning activities, and who thrives in a fast-moving operational environment.
Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the timely, cost-effective supply of materials and services across multiple locations. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a visible and influential position within a growing business.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Inventory Management

Take ownership of end-to-end planning activities within the supply chain function.

Maintain accurate inventories to meet operational and project requirements.

Review schedules, forecasts, and project commitments to plan material needs effectively.

Monitor stock levels, coordinate replenishment, and prevent shortages or overstocking.

Analyse planning data to identify improvements and enhance operational efficiency.

Support financial planning and budgeting through accurate cost forecasting.
Procurement & Supplier Management

Lead day-to-day purchasing activities for materials, equipment, and services.

Prepare and process purchase orders, compare quotations, and secure best-value bids.

Track requisitions, contracts, and order status to ensure timely fulfilment.

Liaise with suppliers to confirm shipping details, manage lead times, and resolve delivery issues.

Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships and conduct performance reviews.

Negotiate pricing and commercial terms to support cost savings and strategic goals.

Ensure procurement activities align with company policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.

Stay informed of market trends and supply risks.
Reporting & Performance Management

Provide regular reports to the Head of Supply Chain and internal stakeholders.

Track supplier KPIs, SLA performance, planning accuracy, and material availability.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across procurement and planning.
About You – Skills & Experience

3+ years’ experience in a Buyer, Planner, or Supply Chain Coordinator role.

Strong analytical thinking with proven problem-solving capabilities.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Highly organised with strong attention to detail.

Commercially aware with the ability to manage competing priorities.

Confident working independently while contributing effectively to team objectives.

Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
