My client based in Galway is currently looking for a Snr R&D Engineer to join their team.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership to project teams, ensuring the successful planning and execution of R&D projects aligned with customer needs.
- Develop test methods and qualification strategies to meet design objectives.
- Engage with customers and vendors to drive project outcomes and solutions.
- Identify and recommend new equipment, materials, and vendors to enhance technical capabilities.
- Deliver regular project updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- Contribute to the company's intellectual property portfolio by advancing innovative biomaterial applications.
- Prepare and deliver technical reports for team members, management, and customers.
Requirements
- A degree in Mechanical/Biomedical Engineering or Materials/Polymer Science (Master’s/PhD preferred).
- 5-8 years of R&D experience in the medical device industry.
- Proficiency in analytical problem-solving and creative thinking to address complex challenges.
- Hands-on experience in concept design, product development, and manufacturing processes.
- Strong understanding of engineering design principles and polymer material properties.
- Proven project leadership skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and root cause analysis capabilities.
- Clear and effective communication skills, adaptable across all levels of the organization.
- A proactive approach to skill development to stay ahead in a dynamic industry.
