My client is seeking an experienced Site Project Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of a circa €2 million infrastructure project based in the Millstreet area; perm role.
This is a hands-on, site-based position requiring someone who is comfortable taking ownership of the project on the ground, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme and quality requirements.
The successful candidate will ideally come from a trade, site engineering or construction background and have strong practical experience managing projects and subcontractors on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the project on site
- Coordinate and manage approximately five subcontractors across the project
- Plan and oversee site activities to ensure works remain on programme
- Monitor progress and address any site issues or delays as they arise
- Coordinate labour, subcontractors, materials and site resources
- Ensure works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and project requirements
- Maintain high standards of health and safety across all site activities
- Liaise with the wider project team, subcontractors and relevant stakeholders
- Attend and contribute to site and progress meetings
- Monitor quality of works and ensure any issues are identified and resolved promptly
- Maintain appropriate site records and project documentation
- Support the successful delivery of the project through to completion and handover
Experience & Requirements
- Previous experience in a Site Manager, Project Manager, Site Engineer or similar site-based role
- Trade or Site Engineering background would be particularly suitable
- Strong experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple work packages
- Experience taking responsibility for the day-to-day running of a construction or infrastructure project
- Strong understanding of site safety, quality and programme requirements
- Practical, hands-on approach with the ability to resolve issues quickly
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of site delivery
