I am currently working with a leading manufacturing client to recruit a Site Process & Test Engineering Manager.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in advanced manufacturing, automation, and robotics. The successful candidate will lead the Process & Test Engineering function, drive long-term industrial strategy, and oversee the implementation of innovative manufacturing technologies across the site.
Overview
As Site Process & Test Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading engineering teams, delivering industrialisation programmes, managing capital investment projects, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. You will play a key role in shaping manufacturing excellence through automation, process optimisation, and operational performance improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Site Process & Test Engineering team.
- Define and implement long-term industrial and manufacturing strategies.
- Drive automation, robotics, and advanced manufacturing initiatives.
- Manage industrialisation programmes and ensure alignment across site operations.
- Oversee capital investment planning and project delivery.
- Monitor equipment and machine performance, driving continuous improvement activities.
- Coordinate with global engineering, product, and operational teams.
- Support standardisation of manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Participate in technical reviews, project governance, and strategic planning activities.
- Ensure strong performance across quality, delivery, logistics, and asset utilisation metrics.
- Provide support to additional sites during ramp-up phases and operational challenges.
Requirements
- Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a related engineering leadership role.
- Automotive manufacturing experience is highly desirable.
- Proven experience implementing and managing automated or robotic manufacturing systems.
- Strong knowledge of industrialisation, process engineering, and manufacturing excellence.
- Experience leading engineering teams within a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Fluent English.
