An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Engineer to join a well-established civil engineering contractor. This role offers the chance to work on a variety of projects, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting out of works using GPS, Total Stations, and Dumpy Levels.
- Maintaining accurate site records, including a site diary in line with company policies and procedures.
- Assisting with site management, including coordination of staff and subcontractors.
- Liaising with key stakeholders such as clients, property owners, consultants, designers, and government bodies.
- Implementing and maintaining quality control and health & safety procedures on-site.
- Planning weekly work programs with the Project Manager, Site Foreman, and subcontractors to keep the project on schedule.
- Monitoring on-site work to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
- Conducting and recording site testing to meet ISO 9001 Quality Certification requirements.
- Promoting and enforcing safety standards to maintain a high level of health & safety compliance.
- Attending meetings and project briefings as required.
- Carrying out additional tasks as needed to support project success.
Requirements:
- Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-5 years' experience in a similar role within the construction or civil engineering sector.
- Proficiency in setting out techniques using GPS, Total Stations, and other surveying equipment.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, site documentation, and industry regulations.
- Ability to manage and coordinate subcontractors and site teams.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.
- A commitment to health, safety, and quality assurance standards.
- Full driver’s license required.
