Senior Equipment Design Engineer - Galway

Looking for a new role? My client in Galway is currently looking for a Senior Equipment Design Engineer to join their expanding team. They are a global leader in medical device manufacturing solutions. As a Senior Equipment Design Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in designing innovative solutions for their multinational client base. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, you'll lead all aspects of machine design from concept to final release, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget while managing complex scopes.

 

Your responsibilities include:

  • Leading machine design projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory, safety, and CE requirements.
  • Utilizing 3D & 2D CAD software to produce solid models, detail drawings, and BOMs of equipment in line with client specifications.
  • Producing related documentation such as technical data sheets, detailed drawings, and operating manuals.
  • Managing project communications with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, for requirement specifications and project deliverables.
  • Providing mentoring and technical direction to less experienced members of the engineering team.
  • Supporting technical sales with machine concept generation and costing.
  • Leading continuous improvement activities within the engineering group.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in an equipment design role.
  • Experience in equipment design for medical device clean rooms is advantageous.
