We are currently partnering with a leading and growing organisation within the utilities and infrastructure sector to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team delivering large-scale projects, where you will play a key role in the commercial and financial management of works.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all cost-related aspects of projects from initial estimation through to final account. You will work closely with project teams to ensure commercial success, cost control, and contractual compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage project costings, budgets, and forecasts
- Review drawings, specifications, and client requirements to produce accurate estimates
- Manage subcontractor procurement, valuations, and payments
- Monitor project progress and provide financial reporting
- Identify risks and opportunities to ensure cost efficiency
- Support tender preparation, pricing, and contract administration
- Liaise with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements
- Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
- Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within utilities, construction, or infrastructure
- Strong commercial awareness and cost management skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
