Quantity Surveyors X 3 - Location Limerick/Galway/Mayo
Our client, a leading electrical contracting and consultancy company at the forefront of the Lighting and Utility Services sector in Ireland, is seeking a talented Project Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team. With operations spanning all 32 counties and a portfolio that includes the maintenance of over 200,000 public lights across 14 Irish local authorities, this company is also a major player in Sports Lighting, Solar PV, and EV charging solutions.

Role Overview:
Reporting to the Project Manager with a dotted line to the Head of Commercial & Estimating, the successful candidate will receive full training and gain invaluable exposure to a diverse range of projects.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, confident, and highly motivated with strong communication skills, the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and a keen eye for detail. A high level of IT proficiency and reporting skills is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare estimations, bills of quantities, and quotations for projects.
- Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Manage and track quotations issued to clients via the CRM system (full training provided).
- Oversee subcontractor management, including payment claim assessments.
- Compile interim progress claim valuations and final accounts for clients.
- Prepare and substantiate variations and extension of time claims.
- Conduct cost reporting to support project financial management.
- Assist with tender submissions for large-scale projects.
- Support contract management and administration.
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance project efficiency, procurement, and financial strategies.
Education & Experience:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
- Experience in the Civil Engineering and/or Utilities sector is highly desirable.
Skills & Competencies:
- Ability to coordinate and prioritise multiple projects.

- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Advanced IT proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel.
