Are you an experienced Project Manager with a strong electrical background? We're looking for a results-driven individual to lead the delivery of electrical infrastructure and maintenance projects across a diverse portfolio. This is a hands-on role where your expertise in electrical systems, team leadership, and operational planning will be critical to success.
As Project Manager, you will take full ownership of project execution, from initial scoping and planning through to completion and performance reporting. You’ll be leading a dedicated team in delivering high-quality electrical solutions, including lighting installations, electrical maintenance, and energy-focused projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery and performance of assigned electrical projects, ensuring safety, quality, and budget targets are consistently met.
- Oversee project workflows from initial order to completion, including planning, surveying, scheduling, and resourcing.
- Coordinate daily with foremen, crews, health & safety personnel, procurement, and clients to maintain smooth project operations.
- Drive operational efficiency by reducing turnaround times and optimising project cash flow.
- Supervise a team of field staff, ensuring work is completed to high standards and within agreed timeframes.
- Monitor employee time and attendance, addressing performance in line with company expectations.
- Analyse and report on project metrics including risks, budgets, estimates vs. actuals, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess practices, identify improvements, and implement changes for increased efficiency and safety.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to support ongoing and future project opportunities.
- Manage a regional maintenance portfolio – coordinate fault repairs, track project KPIs, and oversee ESB notifications.
- Support the implementation of digital and lean systems to enhance project management and overall operational performance.
- Act as a leader within the team, consistently promoting professional standards and the company’s core values.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree (Level 8 or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, Civil or Construction Engineering or qualified Electrician with substantial project management experience in electrical contracting.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience delivering and managing electrical or construction projects.
- Proven track record of successfully leading site-based teams and achieving project KPIs.
- Strong commercial understanding and demonstrated ability to manage client relationships.
- Experience in applying lean principles to improve project delivery and efficiency.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills to ensure deadlines are met and resources optimised.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and familiar with project management software.
- Strong communication skills—both verbal and written—for effective coordination and reporting.
