PROJECT MANAGER
Based in the West of Ireland, my client is currently working on some exciting state of the art projects and looking to expanding their team of Project Managers.
Role Overview
1. Achieve green launches and Customer satisfaction in respect of the delivered product:
Set and manage the Project schedule to reach the milestones defined within the overall Project schedule on time.
Contributes to Project success by fulfilling on time its deliverable commitments to support the System, SW, System Validation and Mechatronic sub-projects developments as applicable.
Lead the Cross functional Project Team for development and launch of the product - Manage project resources
Manage the project risks; Interact with customers, suppliers, functions and management to resolve issues in respect of the product
Manage changes in respect of the product
2. Achieve the economic targets in terms of TDE (total development effort), BOM (bill of materials), industrial investments and manufacturing costs
Responsibilities
Establishes project setup and leads the definition of overall project scope - Takes ownership of the Project goals and drives the Project to achieve QCD objectives for sample deliveries at each development phase of the project and the Product launch
Interacts closely with the associated platform design team in case the platform design is not complete before the customer specific design commences.
Makes sure to understand the needed deliverables from the System Project in terms of definition, expected quality and test level, quantity needed for all sample phases (A, B, C, D)
Updates on a weekly basis with his/ her team key members the project schedule and defines actions to achieve on time delivery of next sample releases.
Leads weekly Project meetings , and makes sure that all deliverables from System, SW, System Validation and Mechatronic sub projects (as applicable) are referenced in the project schedule , and regularly monitors them.
Monthly updates of the Single List of Risks (SLR) in respect of the product
Delivers at the right time, with the right definition level (incl supplier choice, tool representativity, test level and and quantities) the agreed needed samples for Customer, as per delivery process agreed with all stakeholders.

Interacts with Customer on product issues respecting the communication matrix defined
Escalates to their direct manager with relevant speed/anticipation the gaps versus targets- Secures and manages Project resources
Drive development of Project Team in order to improve Teamwork.
Solves all project issues requiring any type of support of all suitable functions via the project team meeting and the project escalation.
Checks and validates Project Team Members’ activities and proposes timing
Manages the project budget
Supports Change request management for the project, identify changes as input for the CCB (change control board)
Reports and tracks for all changes R&D TDE mechatronic impact, product BOM impact and industrial investment impacts
Prepares decision making process for relevant committee and challenges his project team readiness
Keep development processes lean and efficient - Ensures use of Design to Cost methodology
Leads performance reviews and development of all PTM’s (project team members) from his team
Manages communication with Customers (if defined so in Project Communication Matrix) on Project development progress
Promotes Values, Culture and Standards (Product, Methodology, Tools) within the Project teams and control their application
Respects Code of ethics
Respects health, safety and environment charts and requirements
Qualifications
Engineering degree and knowledge of Product Group (product/process standards)
Personal skills to manage functional organization
CPM (Clean project management) development methodology or similar
Financial skills about Product cost structure, pay back
Knowledge of Product Development (5+ years)
People Management Experience (2+ Years)
Successful experience in Project development (5+ years)
