I'm currently working with a well-established and growing client in the electrical infrastructure and utilities sector to recruit an experienced Project Manager to oversee maintenance operations across the Cork and Kerry region.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a market-leading organisation delivering large-scale public lighting, utilities and electrical infrastructure projects throughout Ireland.
The Role
Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will take ownership of all maintenance activities across the region, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget and in line with Local Authority contracts.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll manage projects from planning through to completion while leading teams, building client relationships and driving operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage electrical maintenance projects across the Cork and Kerry region.
• Plan and coordinate resources, schedules and work programmes.
• Monitor project progress, KPIs and operational performance.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Local Authorities and key stakeholders.
• Carry out site visits and oversee project delivery.
• Manage budgets, project costs and resource allocation.
• Lead, develop and support operational teams.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental standards.
• Identify and manage project risks and implement solutions.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement across maintenance operations.
What We're Looking For
• Level 8 qualification in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Level 6 Electrical Craft Certificate is essential.
• PMP, PSCS or additional electrical qualifications would be advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years' experience managing electrical or utilities projects.
• Experience within public lighting, utilities, civils, electrical infrastructure or similar sectors is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of project planning, scheduling, budgeting and stakeholder management.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation and electrical standards.
• Experience using project management systems and Microsoft Project is desirable.
