We are currently looking for a Maintenance Manager to join my clients prestigious Engineering and Maintenance team in Galway, the west of Ireland
As the Maintenance Manager, you'll report directly to the Director of Engineering & Facilities. Your role will focus on ensuring timely delivery of essential maintenance support for manufacturing and packaging equipment, meeting customer demands while adhering to GMP and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a preventative maintenance team to ensure compliance with SOPs, Health & Safety, and GMP standards.
- Schedule and oversee preventative maintenance activities for efficiency and compliance.
- Train and equip the team for effective maintenance operations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to address root cause problems and improve machine performance.
- Develop methods to enhance equipment reliability and maximize OEE.
- Recommend cost-effective service contracts and optimize equipment availability.
- Coordinate preventative maintenance shutdown activities and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build and maintain successful client relationships.
Competencies & Qualifications:
- Strong technical knowledge of equipment reliability engineering and pharmaceutical compliance standards.
- Effective relationship building and collaboration skills.
- Demonstrated leadership aligned with organizational values and culture.
- Professional expertise in engineering management.
- BS/BEng in Engineering or Managerial Discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of engineering management experience.
- Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or biotechnology preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Initiative-driven and self-motivated.
