On behalf of our client, we are recruiting an Environmental, Health and Safety Specialist to support a world class manufacturing operation. This role will play a key part in ensuring a safe working environment, driving environmental performance and maintaining full compliance with EHS legislation and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and report environmental metrics and complete annual environmental reports
- Ensure site compliance with EHS legislation, ISO 14001, 45001 and 50001 standards, EPA and IED requirements
- Drive reductions in greenhouse gas emissions, waste, energy and water usage
- Support safe and environmentally efficient manufacturing of current and new products
- Develop and implement health and safety programmes to reduce injury and incident rates
- Conduct risk assessments, ergonomic assessments and safety data analysis
- Manage behavioural safety and employee engagement programmes, ensuring audits and actions are completed on time
Requirements
- Degree in Environmental, Health and Safety or related discipline
- 2 to 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Strong knowledge of EHS legislation and management systems
- Experience using structured problem-solving tools such as A3 and Pareto analysis
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
