AMF Consulting are recruiting a Commercial Manager on behalf of a leading organisation within the infrastructure and utilities sector in Ireland.
The Role
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will lead all commercial activities across the business, driving financial performance, managing contracts, and ensuring strong commercial governance.
You will oversee tendering, pricing, cost control, and risk management while building and leading a high-performing commercial team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the overall commercial strategy, driving revenue growth and margin improvement
- Oversee estimating, tendering, and bid submissions, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and quality
- Lead contract negotiation, manage commercial risk, and oversee dispute resolution where required
- Ensure strong financial control including forecasting, budgeting, cashflow, and margin performance
- Support and contribute to business development by identifying new opportunities and strengthening client relationships
- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing commercial and estimating team
- Work closely with project and operational teams to ensure commercial alignment and effective project delivery
- Drive continuous improvement across commercial processes, systems, and reporting
About You
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or similar
- 15+ years’ experience in construction, utilities, or infrastructure
- Proven track record in a senior commercial leadership role
- Strong experience in contracts, pricing, and financial management
- Skilled in leading teams and driving performance
