    Area Sales Manager – Marine Sector (Ireland) - Ireland

    My client is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to drive growth in their Marine division across Ireland. This role is focused on building strong relationships with both existing and new customers, meeting sales targets, and increasing brand awareness in the marine sector. It is a field-based position requiring extensive travel throughout Ireland, with occasional international travel as needed.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with central buyers, key accounts, and new customers.

    • Achieve sales targets by identifying and securing new business opportunities.

    • Use CRM systems to manage daily activities, track projects, and capture market/customer insights.

    • Share market intelligence and customer feedback with management to support strategy.

    • Manage orders and enquiries with a proactive, positive approach.

    • Prepare sales reports, agendas, and materials for customer meetings (face-to-face and online).

    • Update CRM daily and plan meetings effectively in advance.

    • Report on progress at weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales meetings.

    • Support marketing campaigns and initiatives to grow brand awareness.

    • Attend trade shows, exhibitions, sales meetings, and industry events as required.

    • Conduct on-site customer visits, surveys, and inspections where necessary.

    • Ensure compliance with all health and safety procedures.

    Skills & Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).

    • Minimum 3 years’ proven B2B field sales experience with a strong track record of meeting targets.

    • Knowledge of the aquaculture or marine navigation sector is desirable but not essential.

    • Commercial marketing and merchandising experience.

    • Experience with project-based sales, government tenders, or eTender platforms (desirable).

    • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.

    • Strong problem-solving, time management, and organisational skills.

    • IT proficient (MS Office, CRM, ERP).

    • Fluent in English with a full, clean driving licence.

    • Must be based in Ireland.
